The Fall of Man, Suri tribe version
During my weeks with the Suri (Surma) tribe in Ethiopia, over and over I heard the story about how originally humans had a direction to God.
There was a rope between earth and God. People could climb the rope any time. The only rule: humans could not bring anything with them. No possessions when visiting God.
One day the woman decided to bring her grinding stone. As soon as she started to climb, the rope fell to the ground.
How does this compare to the Bible Fall of Man story?
