Konso: first man came from a termite hill
Both groups of Konso elders told me in 2001 that the first man came from a termite hill. But when asked where the first woman came from, the elders just looked at each other and finally replied, "we don't know."
On my 2007 trip, different elders confirmed the termite hill creation story.
